Booked, Shipped and Reserved: Gas Services in Siemens Energy's Analyst Presentation for Q3 FY26

Siemens Energy's analyst presentation of August 5, 2026 lists, under "Gas Services," gigawatts booked and shipped and a backlog of firm customer commitments beside slot reservations, and it shows announced capacity expansions for two size classes of gas turbine.

Siemens Energy told analysts on August 5, 2026 that demand in the United States remains strong, "especially for data center related gas turbines." Its slides for that day, the "Analyst presentation Q3 FY26," set out under the heading "Gas Services" what the company booked and shipped, the commitments it holds, and the production capacity it has announced. This article reports parts of the slides.

Gas Services: booked, shipped and reserved

The slide with those numbers is titled "Continuing strong market demand," with the line "No market slowdown visible" under it. Under "Gas Services," its first point reads "15 GW booked," then in brackets "12 GW converted from SRAs," then "6 GW shipped." A footnote on the same slide spells out SRAs as "Slot Reservation Agreements," and the second point speaks of a "High level of firm customer commitments (69 GW backlog / 26 GW SRAs)." The third begins with the United States and data centers and ends "awards in the Middle East and Asia." The slide prints no period beside these points.

The slide sets a backlog and reserved slots side by side under "firm customer commitments." A buyer would want to know how firm a slot reservation is before counting it with an order.

Announced capacity expansions

Another slide, titled "Capacity ramp-up accelerates H2 revenue," shows what the company has announced for its production capacity. Under "Announced Capacity Expansions" and "Gas Services," bar charts for FY25 to FY28 are counted "in GT units," in two size classes headed "MGT (20-100 MW)" and "LGT (100-600 MW)." The two slides do not spell out MGT, LGT or GT. Nor does the slide say in words which of its bars are measured and which are announced, and the bars are not reported here.

Beside the charts stand these points:

  • "Additional MGT capacity has come online in H2 FY26"
  • "LGT capacity expansion to become effective in FY27"
  • "Focus on service-related investments"
  • "Total gas turbine production capacity will increase as communicated at the last CMD"

For the larger size class, the expansion is "to become effective in FY27." For the smaller one, additional capacity "has come online in H2 FY26." The last point refers back to what the company "communicated at the last CMD," which the slide does not spell out.

The deck's disclaimer says it contains statements that "may constitute forward-looking statements." It also says that "Due to rounding, numbers presented throughout this and other documents may not add up precisely to the totals provided and percentages may not precisely reflect the absolute figures."

A capacity date is a date for the maker's factory, not for any one buyer's machine. A developer who needs a large turbine sooner is weighing that date against the backlog already booked.
